While in Portland for a long weekend, we decided to head over to Cannon Beach, 1.5 hours west of Portand. It was a unusually warm and sunny day there which made for great hiking weather.
Cannon Beach is worth a drive for photo-taking alone!
Starting from the Cannon Beach parking lot, after a leisurely lunch, we took the dirt trail along the coast of Cannon Beach, heading northwards towards Indian Beach.
There were several steep, muddy sections in the first mile, but nothing too difficult. Along the way we stopped several times for photos of the coast, glimmering in the sunlight.
After a brief stop at Indian Beach, we headed back into the woods, retracing our steps back to Ecola Point.
